What’s happened since last year’s survey?

Last spring, we ran our latest Upload survey to find out what you think about working at Mitie. 31,276 colleagues – 42% of Mitie at the time – completed the survey, giving us a good picture of what matters most to colleagues.

Colleagues felt that the following areas were working well:

  • Employee wellness / health / safety workplace: “Health and safety are considered important here” 80%
  • Systems, processes and technology: “I have the information I need to do my job well” 72%
  • Manager: “My manager is open and transparent in communication” 72%
  • Customer focus: “We are responsive to the changing needs of our customers” 71%
  • Diversity and inclusion: “I feel Mitie values the diversity of its people” 70%

Of course, there were some areas where we could see there was real room for improvement:

  • Reward and recognition (47%) 
  • A great place to work (or what makes us different) (59%)
  • Empowerment & autonomy (45%)
  • Senior leadership (56%) 

You Said, We Did

We listened, and where needed we asked more questions to find out more, through focus groups, and local senior managers’ listening sessions. And we’ve taken action. We’ll be asking for your feedback again later this spring to find out what impact these improvements have made and where we need to focus our efforts in 2022/2023.
