Walking Rugby Event

Earlier this month several Mitie colleagues joined senior military commanders and members of the RFU at the Army Rugby Union’s Leadership in Rugby Day.

The event was held at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and was an opportunity to share stories on the lessons and values rugby has on the lives of those participating.

Charles Antelme – MD Commercial Government attended and had the following to say about the event:

‘It was fantastic to be part of Mitie’s Walking Rugby Team and to support the Army Rugby Union’s Leadership in Rugby Day. The Army recognise that being part of a great sports team builds the values and skills that are key to the success of their organisation –  determination, the pursuit of excellence, teamwork and a good sense of humour amongst them. At Mitie we adhere to a similar code and that is why we are so proud to work alongside the brilliant men and women of the forces and to sponsor Army Rugby.’

In attendance were the leaders of the RFU including past and present Chairmen, players from Army Teams and senior leaders from across the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force.

Brigadier James Cook organised the event and Major General Jez Bennet led the thanks for Mitie’s sponsorship.
