The exceptional every day for the Mitie Stores Team

Our Mitie Stores was recognised for exceptional work supporting British military. The team, based at HMS Excellent, part of the Hestia defence contract, were awarded a Commanding Officer’s Extra Value Award for their exceptional work in support of Operation Isotrope.

Isotrope is an operation led by the Ministry of Defence concerning Cross Channel Migration. With the operation stood up quickly in April last year, a number of logistical challenges were presented, predominantly stores support to the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force Headquarters (JIATF HQ).

Our Mitie Stores Team was up to the challenge  and provided operational support in the set-up of the project, including providing their expert subject matter advice and also facilitating a supply chain route.

Lieutenant Sarah Cotterill of the Standing Joint Command (UK) team based in Aldershot said:

“Without the team’s support we would not have been able to conduct operations and taskings on our Defence primacy date.

“They continue to support and the SNCO J4 Logs has remarked that nothing is ever too much trouble for the team, they are incredible, forward leaning and willing to support where possible. The team have gone above and beyond to support the JIATF J4 team and Defence Operations and they continue to do outstanding work.”

Mitie Stores Manager Mervyn Richardson accepted the award on behalf of his incredible team during a small ceremony at the Portsmouth based Naval Site. Well done!

The team will continue to support the operation through to 2023.
