Recognising our BSA Regional Award winners in Northampton

On Monday, 14 June, we were pleased to welcome our 2021 British Security Awards regional award-winners to the Northampton office to present them with their awards. It was a real pleasure to present these awards in person and celebrate our exceptional colleagues’ achievements during one of the most challenging years in recent memory.

Since entering the first lockdown in March 2020, our frontline heroes have stepped up admirably, going into work every day to keep the country running and delivering outstanding service to our customers up and down the country. These efforts resulted in 25 BSA regional award wins  – more than 50% of the total number of awards available at this years’ BSA awards.

All of the regional winners are automatically entered into the finals for the BSA national awards on 30 June, where we have been shortlisted for an additional 15 awards, including ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘National Partnership’ for our work with both M&S and the Sellafield Civilian Guard Force.

Jason Towse, Managing Director Mitie Business Services, presented the awards to our frontline heroes on the day. “The BSA’s are one of my favourite awards. They’re all about the efforts of frontline heroes. To celebrate them in this way is fantastic, and I’m delighted to have had so many deserving winners this year. The BSA’s are always highly competitive, so winning over 50% of the regionals is an incredible achievement. And, now we look forward to the nationals at the end of June. Congratulations to all the winners, and good luck at the finals!”

To round off the days’ celebrations, Mike Reddington, Chief Executive of the BSIA, presented Jason Towse with an unexpected trophy celebrating Mitie’s 27 years of membership with the BSIA. It’s been a long and fruitful partnership and a collaboration we hope to continue for many years to come.

Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you for all of your hard work throughout the past 12-months and for continuing to deliver ‘the exceptional, every day’.
