Parents & Carers Month 2023

We understand that being a parent or carer comes with its own set of challenges. That’s why we’ve got something exciting planned for Parents & Carers Month 2023.

This year, we’re focused on giving a voice to our colleagues who have parenting and caring responsibilities.

We want to make sure everyone feels heard and supported. That’s where our Parents & Carers Network comes in! It’s a safe and welcoming space for all our colleagues to chat, share, and support one another.

Alice Woodwark, Managing Director, Communities and Executive Sponsor of Parents & Carers Network

As the executive sponsor of the Parent & Carers network, I know first-hand the immense value that parents and carers bring to Mitie. Their dedication to their families and their jobs is nothing short of remarkable, and they are a vital part of our workforce.

This May, as we celebrate Parents & Carers Month, it’s important to recognize the trade-offs that these employees make every day. They juggle demanding workloads and deadlines with the responsibilities of caring for their loved ones, which is often rewarding but can come with its own unseen challenges.

We will show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our parent and carer employees and give them a voice within the business.

Male Carers Social Corner – 11 May

Time: 16:00 – 17:00

As a male carer, it can be tough to find a community where you can freely discuss your own self-care and mental health needs. That’s why we’ve put together this panel event – to create a welcoming space where you can be yourself and feel supported. We want to encourage open and honest conversations about the challenges of caring for loved ones, and how we can all take steps to prioritize our own well-being.
