Over £11,000 raised for Macmillan and money is still rolling in!

Mitie colleagues have been going the extra mile by delivering Macmillan Coffee Mornings and team fundraising activities, to raise money for charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

Colleagues across the UK have rolled up their sleeves and put their baking skills to the test, all in aid of the world’s largest coffee morning. The events created a great buzz around offices and were enjoyed by all!

Well done to everyone that took part and gave so generously for such a worthy cause! The total raised currently stands at £11,760 but with events still to take place and money not yet banked, this figure will be surpassed.

Charlotte Wood, Corporate Business Development Officer at Macmillan said:

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Mitie who took part in Macmillan Coffee Morning this year.

“An amazing amount of money has been raised and we are so grateful for your support, fundraising and all the hard work that has gone into organising. It costs £33 to fund a Macmillan nurse for one hour.

“The funds you have raised could fund a Macmillan Nurse for 364 hours, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. Macmillan’s support for people living with cancer is in more demand than ever and we couldn’t do what we do without people like you. Thank you.”
