Article 13 March 2023 Mitie Lighting lights up iconic Edinburgh building Our Mitie Lighting team has designed an exciting new external lighting scheme for an iconic building in Edinburgh.The Mound belongs to our customer Lloyds Banking Group. Its external lighting needed an upgrade due to its age. Our challenge was to come up with a design to reduce energy and enable the Group to mark events like Pride by lighting the building in any colour. Now, the modern, colour-changing lighting brings The Mound to life, particularly at night. The Lloyds Banking Group team has complete control over the colour changes. They can cast dynamic light shows to mark events and occasions for the local public. And the project delivered a 73% reduction in energy consumption. Following changes to legislation, compact and traditional fluorescent lighting tubes will stop production.
