Article 14 October 2022 Exceptional Technical Services Volunteers raise £46K delivering the Mitie Ball! This year’s Mitie Ball in Scotland saw almost 250 people coming together for an evening of entertainment and fundraising. It was attended by customers, colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors who provided generous donations for a grand prize draw and auction. This year, during the event we raised a total of £46,117 that will be split between two worthy charities: Prostate Cancer UK and the British Heart Foundation. This was the eighth year of the Scottish Mitie Ball. Since its inception, the event has raised a staggering £300,000. Special thanks goes out to the organising committee: Raymond Murray, Jackie Long, Jennifer Melvin and Shirley Laidlaw and also to Louise Connor for the event programme and Alistair Farquhar who took the photos on the night. Givetober is back – you can get your team involved today and help us reach the 3,000 volunteering hours in one month! Since April this year we’ve logged 5,077 volunteering hours across Mitie as a whole and we would love you to help us to increase this by volunteering this October. We set an ambitious goal to achieve additional 3,000 volunteering hours in one month! Remember – all salaried employees are gifted 10 volunteering hours per financial year, and our hourly colleagues can also take part upon line management and client agreement.
