Covid-19 update | 24 November 2021

As the nights draw in and we move towards the festive season it’s more important than ever to take regular lateral flow tests before attending busy indoor settings, including our offices and workplaces.

UK Government guidance has recently been updated to encourage all of us to take a rapid Covid-19 test (also known as lateral flow) tests before mixing in crowded indoor spaces. It’s recommended to do this in both work and social settings, to protect yourself and those around you. Free rapid Covid-19 tests are readily available to be sent to your home, from a pharmacy, or from test sites. Find out more about how to obtain tests here. If you have symptoms then you must take another test, called a PCR test. See below for a reminder of the key differences between the testing available:

Finally, people aged 40 to 49 in England (and soon in Scotland) can now get a booster of either a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine 6 months after their second dose. If you have not already done so, please keep yourself safe by booking your vaccination online or by attending a walk in clinic.
