Parents and Carers Month 2022, which runs from 29 August to 23 September, is focused on supporting our colleagues with parenting and caring responsibilities. Mitie’s Parents and Carers Network actively promotes and champions all our parents and carers – offering our colleagues a place to discuss, share, support, and even celebrate! Over the next month, it is leading events to support colleagues and raise awareness of key parenting and caring issues, such as the impact on work/life balance for colleagues who are juggling work, care and family commitments. Get your budding artists to enter our new creative competition As part of our Parents and Carers Month, we’ve launched a brand-new competition open to all dependants of Mitie’s parents, guardians or carers to let us know what a day in the life of their Mitie parent, guardian or carer looks like. We want your budding artists to design a poster, collage, model or any unique or creative way of showing ‘A Day in the life of…’. We’ll announce the winner and showcase all your amazing entries at our Working Parents Day Live Event on Friday 16 September 2022. There are different age categories with great prizes up for grabs. Join our Parents and Carers Coffee Morning: Back to School, the experiences of a parent or carer supporting children transitioning to a new school or university 10.30am – 11.15am, Thursday 8 September, 2022 Location: Virtual or T2 (Birmingham Offices) The Pod, Ground Floor You can join in person or via Teams. Come along to a coffee morning chat with our panel of parents and carers, live from T2, on the challenges and pressure facing children and young people making those all-important transitions in education.
