Co-op- taking action on your feedback in Upload

Since the latest Upload – Mitie’s employee engagement survey- lots of work has been taking place across the business to put your voice and feedback into action. 

On the Co-op account, key pieces of feedback highlighted a need for improvement across empowerment, career development, reward and recognition, and visibility of senior leadership.

In response to this feedback, several actions have been taken: 

  • The ‘A Day in their shoes’ initiative was introduced for senior leadership to increase interaction with frontline employees. 
  • Introducing a new monthly newsletter for all colleagues to strengthen communication and use this channel to encourage colleagues to make use of MiDeals and other benefits. 
  • ‘Voice of the employee’ champions identified for all Co-op contracts to support colleagues in feeling empowered to raise their voice. 
  • Greater focus on the use of MiReview to discuss colleagues’ specific L&D requirements. 
  • Formed a Technology working group. 
  • Mitie colleagues have completed the Count Me In training across the overall contract.

“The Co-op engagement score reduced last year which was really disappointing from an overall contract point of view, we have now formed working groups across retail security, cleaning and our IFM contract, the overarching feedback from these sessions were: 

  • The employees put the customer at the heart of everything that they do on the contract. 
  • The customer is saying that we are doing a great job for the Co-op – +79NPS. 
  • We are operating in a more joined up approach across the entire National contract. ​​​​​​​
