Choices is coming, do you know your benefit options?

On Monday 7th March, our flexible benefits for salaried colleagues will open for 2 weeks. Please join us at 12pm on Monday for a live demo of Choices to find out more about the benefits on offer and how to select them. Please click here to join the demo on Monday!

Before the window is open, we’d like to give you a breakdown of what’s available so you can consider which ones you’d like to take up.

Dental Insurance Dental insurance covers you for regular check-ups, hygienist appointments, extra work such as fillings and crowns and more.  It also covers private treatment.
It’s simple to use.  You visit your dentist, pay for any treatment as normal and then claim a refund (up to the policy limits)
Health Assessments Health assessments are carried out by medical professionals and designed to check key health areas to help you monitor your health and identify areas of your lifestyle which may be contributing to future health risks. You’ll receive a personalised report detailing your results alongside lifestyle guidance. This will allow you to make positive changes to enhance your health and wellbeing.
Health Cash PlanHealth Cash Plan reimburses you for a range of health treatments including check-ups, consultations, hospital stays and alternative therapies. You’ll receive a 100% refund for a wide range of everyday healthcare expenses, or a fixed cash sum in certain cases such as having a baby, up to the policy maximum limits.
Critical Illness InsuranceCritical illness cover gives you peace of mind that should you be diagnosed with a serious medical condition or need a specified operation, you’ll receive a tax-free lump sum payment to spend how you wish.
Gadget CoverGadget cover allows you to have your device repaired or replaced, subject to the insurance terms.
You can cover an unlimited number of devices including smartphones, games consoles and wearables.
Personal Accident InsurancePersonal accident cover provides a tax-free lump sum payment if you die or suffer permanent, total or partial disablement because of an accident.
Extra HolidayWhether you want a few extra days off over the school holidays, are planning a special trip, or simply want some spare days just in case, the extra holiday benefit is for you. You can select up to five extra days off each year to enjoy on top of your current holiday entitlement. If you are a part-time employee, the holiday you can buy is pro-rated based on the number of days a week that you work.
Dining CardsWe have two options for you to choose from:

Tastecard is the UK’s largest dining club, offering at least 10% off takeaways, 50% or 2 for 1 on dining out, movies, attractions, online shopping, fitness, and more.

Gourmet Society offers members some of life’s delicacies for less. With endless savings on dining, cinema tickets, outings, pizza delivery, online shopping, and more.
Will WritingYou have two types of will writing services to choose from Standard or Advanced.
Both options include a face-to-face meeting with a will writing specialist to determine your executors and the distribution of your estate with basic Inheritance Tax advice.
The Advanced option allows you to obtain more in-depth advice about trust arrangements.
Smart TechThis allows you to spread the cost of buying the latest technology and have the payments taken from your salary on a monthly payback scheme. You pay back the cost over 12 months, interest-free and with no credit checks.
Gym MembershipThis year, we’re adding another exciting benefit with discounted Gym membership offering up to a 45% discount at around 1282 gyms nationwide.

This includes venues with pool and spa facilities available to you.

Some of our providers will be hosting LIVE webinars to give you more information about some of the benefits – please look out for further information on Monday when the window opens!

From the Summer we will be offering the majority of these benefits (excluding Critical Illness and Holiday Buy) to all hourly paid Mitie colleagues, on a net deduction basis. This is another important step forward on our road to making Mitie a great place to work and supporting you in life outside of work as One Mitie.

Don’t forget to also check our benefits guide to see all the benefits that are available to you as a Mitie colleague.

Important Information

Please note, some benefits are operated on a salary sacrifice basis which means Mitie purchases your chosen benefits on your behalf and in turn reduces your pay by the amount your benefits cost (providing you don’t go below National Minimum Wage). As a result, you can make attractive income tax and/or national insurance savings and Mitie saves some national insurance too. See individual benefit pages for details of tax and national insurance savings. This arrangement represents a change to your terms and conditions of employment due to your gross salary being reduced by the cost of the benefit.

Login to Celebration Hub today and start taking advantage of your other Mitie Benefits before Choices opens next week.
